How we use AI, and what we do not use it for

IndigoEDocs is built on generative AI. That is the product, not a feature bolted on, so it is worth being specific about what that means for the documents you create here.

What the AI actually does

When you describe a document, the model composes it from learned patterns of legal drafting — how a definitions clause is structured, what a termination provision needs to contain, the conventional order of clauses, the language that makes a provision operative rather than descriptive.

This is different from template assembly. A template tool inserts your details into pre-written text. A generative model builds the document around what you described, which is why the output changes shape when your arrangement is unusual rather than only changing the names.

Jurisdiction shapes the output. When you select country, state and language before drafting, the model applies the drafting conventions and component structures appropriate to that context — provident fund and professional tax on an Indian payslip, National Insurance on a UK one.

What we do not do with your documents

We do not sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.

We do not make your documents public or visible to other users. Documents are stored in your private account and only you can access them.

Uploaded files are deleted automatically after processing. If you upload a contract to analyse or rebuild from, the file does not remain on our systems once the task is complete.

You can permanently delete any document at any time.

Where human judgement is still required

The AI drafts. It does not decide, advise, or take responsibility.

Execution is yours. A well-drafted will that is improperly witnessed is not a will. A contract nobody signed is not a contract. The document is the first step, not the last.

Review is yours. Every clause is editable before download precisely because you are expected to check it. Names, dates, amounts and anything tied to a statutory rate should be verified against your own records.

Judgement is not provided. A lawyer notices the clause you did not know to ask for, tells you the provision is unenforceable where you live, or that the deal itself is unwise. A generator does none of that.

Currency of law changes. Thresholds, contribution rates and disclosure requirements move. Any document touching a rate or limit should be checked against current figures.

Known limitations we do not hide

Generative models can produce confident-sounding text that is wrong. This is a property of the technology, not a bug we have eliminated. It is why the review step exists.

Novel situations have no established pattern. Standard commercial arrangements are well covered. A bespoke cross-border revenue share with contingent equity is not.

Jurisdictional depth varies. Coverage of widely documented legal systems is stronger than coverage of narrow or rapidly changing local requirements.

Our position, plainly

AI drafting is genuinely useful for standardised documents, and the realistic alternative for most small agreements is not a lawyer-drafted contract — it is nothing at all, or a verbal understanding and a message thread.

Compared to that, a structured document is a substantial improvement. Compared to legal advice, it is not a substitute. Both of those things are true at once, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.

 Yes. Documents are composed by a generative model from your description, rather than assembled from fixed templates. You then edit anything you need to before downloading.

Can the AI make mistakes?

 Yes. Generative models can produce text that reads correctly but is wrong. Every clause is editable before download and you should verify names, dates, amounts and any figure tied to a statutory rate.

Does the AI give legal advice?

Who can see the documents I create?

 Only you. Documents are stored in your private account, and you can permanently delete any of them at any time.

Does the AI understand the law in my country? 

It applies drafting conventions associated with the jurisdiction you select, which is why country, state and language are chosen before drafting. It is not a substitute for local legal advice, and statutory figures should be verified.
