Legal Documents by Industry
Start from your situation, not from an alphabetical list
Most document libraries are organised for the library, not the person using it. You arrive knowing you need to hire someone, or let a flat, or get a founders agreement signed before an investor meeting — and you get a list of two hundred templates sorted A to Z.
These four pages are organized differently. Each page gathers the documents a specific type of business needs, in the order that situations usually develop.
Choose your sector
HR & Employment → Offer letters, employment contracts, payslips, non-competes and exit paperwork. Organised across the employment lifecycle — hiring, paying, changes during employment, and departure. Includes the classification test for deciding whether someone is an employee or a contractor before you draft anything.
Real Estate → Leases, renewals, rent receipts, amendments, sublets and notices to vacate. Covers the difference between residential and commercial leases, which are genuinely different documents, and the clauses that decide deposit disputes.
Startups → Founders agreements, vesting, IP assignment, NDAs, privacy policy and terms of service. Built around what gets checked in due diligence, because that is when missing paperwork becomes expensive rather than merely untidy.
Finance → Loan agreements, promissory notes, invoices, purchase orders and demand letters. Includes which document to use when — a promissory note and a loan agreement do different jobs, as do a purchase order and an invoice.
If your sector is not listed
The four pages above are curated starting points, not the limit of what the platform produces. The AI generator covers over 100 document types across seven categories: Business & Corporate, Employment & HR, Real Estate & Property, Family & Personal, Estate Planning & Power of Attorney, Financial & Loan, and Legal Notices & Affidavits.
Describe what you need in plain language, select your country, state and language, and a complete draft is produced in about a minute.
For a document someone has sent you, the AI Document Analyzer returns a breakdown of clauses, obligations and risks.
How to use these pages
If you know the document you want, go to the page for your sector and follow the link. Most documents have a separate page with guidance and a generator.
If you are not sure what you need, read the sector page top to down. They are staged, so the order itself tells you what usually comes next. The most common gap is not a missing document but a missing step, the employment contract signed three months after someone started, the lease with no renewal mechanism, the founders’ agreement always going to be written next week.
If you want to understand the document before producing it, each sector page links to the relevant guides in the Legal Document Center.
